Challenging the Logic

 I've always liked the drawing and pictures. My father is a professional artist and when I was little he drew for me and taught me to draw. I have been to some museum and gallery of different artist but my favorite artist is M. C. Escher.

The first time when I saw a drawing by Escher was incredible. M C. Escher is one of the world's most famous graphic artists. His art is enjoyed by millions of people all over the world, as can be seen on the many web sites on the internet. He is most famous for his so-called impossible constructions. He challenging the logic with his creation, his artistic works are wonderfully paradoxical and is the reason that I love him.

 He said "I don't grow up. In me is the small child of my early days". He express things that are so beautiful and pure, things that only child can imagine. I feel like Escher. When I look his art I imagine fantastic things, a parallel world where everything is possible.

V–J day in Times Square

 The picture that I choose is "The kiss of Times Square". This picture was taken by Victor Jorgensen who is a former navy photo journalist. He probably is most notable for taking this photograph of a spontaneous scene in Manhattan. The photo was taken on August 14, 1945, when the World War II ended. 

This picture shows a sailor of U.S. Navy with a nurse hugging and taking a passionate kiss. They weren´t in relationship, they were strangers, unlike that all world think. Then that World War II ended, all the people were happy, therefore the sailor kissed spontaneously to the nurse. 

The photo shows the passion and excitement by go to back home after a long period of war. I like this picture because shows the happiness in dark moments. The spontaneous attitude of they make even more interesting the scene.

My secret trade

All people have a specific profession but someone have hobbies that are very important. For example a person is engineer but he loves the sports. His profession is very different that the hobby, but this isn´t an impediment to enjoy it. 

 In my case I study Public Administration but my favorite hobby is cook. I love cook, is my passion. I could say that cook is my secret trade. I love cook in general. I cook salad food, home-cooked and in special cakes, cupcakes, cookies, chocolate bonbons, etc. 

What I like the most of cook is the possibility to combine the flavors. I can use my imagination and show it in the food. Also I like decorate the foods, in special the cupcakes and cakes. I use my creativity in the design of cakes, mixing the colors and the figures. If nobody will taste the food that I cook, all this will be in vain. I like that the people enjoy what I do.

My favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my cell phone. I can´t imagine my life without my cell phone. With my cell phone I´m so happy because I can make calls, receive calls, listen music, play games, play app, watch Tv, see a movie, etc. Is all including on only one piece technology. 

 I have my cell phone from 2012, I changed my old cell phone because it was very slow and bad. I use my cell phone every day. It is very very useful. My cell phone is a smartphone. It has many applications that I can use in any time. I like it, because when I want make a call, I can use my cell. I can play when I'm bored. I can receive important information everywhere. 

The only restriction is the signal. If I´m far away from the signal I could not use all applications. My life without my cellphone would be like different. I would pay special attention to everything which happens around me. Maybe my life would be better.

My expectations

My expectations for a new semester are to pass all subjects, particularly the subjects that I don´t understand so well. I hope to pass all subjects with a good mark. 

My activities extracurriculars are to cook alfajores for then to sell. I hope that this year grow up my business. Also I´m active in my church with de young people and I plan to learn with they about themes of life. This semester I´m teacher´s assistant of mathematic subject. I hope that my students to learn all and to pass the subject. Is a subject difficult and some students failing in math. In general I hope have a good year in all areas.

 The end of the year with happiness.

About me

My full name is María Alejandra Martinez Opazo but people call me Hanna. I was born in Santiago on November 5th, 1991. I´m twenty two years-old and I´m single woman. I live with my parents and two brother. The name´s mother is Raquel and my dad Enrique. I have two brothers and a sister. Their names are Ester, Esteban and Renato. Ester is married and have two children, Alejandro and Victoria. They are very beautifull. Esteban is architect and is next to marry. Renato studies and works. 

 My elementary studies were in four different schools but all in Santiago. Studied in high school number 7 of girls. From 2010 to 2012 I studied civil engineering at University of Chile and from 2013 to date I study Public Administration in the same university. I change my career because my vocation wasn´t to be engineer. I like to solve problems of society but from to different perpective. 

 In my free time I cook "alfajores" for then to sell. I like cooking all type of cake. In the future I would like to own a bakery. Also I like riding my bike. Occasionally I go to hill "San Cristobal" and when I reached the top I drink a mote with huesillos.
